Training

It is an ancient part of our human ecology to have intimate discussion, rituals and meaningful insights sat outside round an open fire, or in the warm under canvas, where the sounds of the rain, the birds and the wind are all included in the conversation.

When we are in that place, we can remember how our innate desire to learn needs to engage all our senses. By bringing teaching back outside, we can move, reflect and share in a way that naturally helps us to shift our perspective and engage with playful curiosity.

Understanding our need to make these connections and rekindle these experiences is at the heart of the training courses at Beyond The Garden.

There are acres of beautiful woods in which to wander and have time alone with nature, as well as an invitation to share evening meals and social time together. The courses are semi-catered, and comfortable shared accommodation is available in yurts and bell tents.

In 2025 there will be four seasonal courses for psychotherapists and counsellors, with the emphasis on developing an ecological approach to theory and practise. We will work closely with the land at Ffynnon Dawel in Ceredigion and at Pennant Valley in Powys. Participants are welcome to attend these individually or as a group of four.

Please see the courses page for more details about what’s on offer.
